The Spirit dwells in us (Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 3:16; 2 Tim. 1:14; John 14:17).
Reflection:
The absolute most profound mystery of the new covenant is that the transcendent, holy Creator of the universe has chosen to make His permanent, abiding home within the fragile framework of the human body. Because the Spirit dwells within you, you are literally a walking holy of holies. You are a mobile temple of the Living God. This reality completely destroys the artificial separation between the “sacred” Sunday gathering and the “secular” workweek.
Because He dwells in you, you carry the atmosphere, the authority, and the transforming power of heaven everywhere you go. When you walk into your office, the grocery store, or your living room, the presence of God walks in with you. This indwelling presence is the core of our vision to “Live in His Presence”. Be highly conscious today of the royal Guest who resides within your spirit, and allow His holy presence to dictate your reactions, your peace, and your confidence in every environment.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I am utterly amazed by the mystery that You have chosen to make my fragile human frame Your permanent dwelling place. Thank You for turning me into a walking temple, carrying the very atmosphere of heaven.
Make me highly conscious of Your indwelling presence today. Let Your peace, Your authority, and Your holiness overflow from me, completely transforming the spiritual atmosphere of my workplace, my home, and every environment I step into. Amen.
